John Simpson (architect)

John Simpson CVO BSC (OCK) ARCH DIP RIBA (Born 9 November 1954) is a British architect.

Simpson studied architecture at University College London. He is principal of practice at John Simpsons and Partners. Chartered Architects and Urban Designers, London. He is a member of Royal Institute of British Architects.

Simpson is well-known for being one of the few modern-day architects designing in the classical style.

“Having rejected International Modernism he sought to show how the classical language of architecture could be used in contemporary economic, technical and functional requirements. • Masterplan for Fairford Leys, a village outside Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
